About Good Shepherd Lutheran:

Good Shepherd is a caring Christian family following Christ, the GOOD SHEPHERD, where we SHARE God’s love, GROW our faith, and SERVE others.

A congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Good Shepherd began in March of 2013 with the consolidation of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Bridge City and Trinity Lutheran Church in Orange.

Good Shepherd’s mission, purpose and vision is to be God’s family with a big heart.  We believe that Jesus is the heart of all families and that no matter how they are formed or who they are made up of, Jesus is always the center.  And so, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church strives and struggles to be a family of love and acceptance that devotes its energies to following Christ, the GOOD SHEPHERD, where we share God’s love, grow our faith and serve others!  Thus, it is the desire here at Good Shepherd to create a church family where people want to belong and be involved on Sunday morning, throughout the week, and through life; first, because of what we do and ultimately because of what we believe. And since this church family has a rich and long history of service and vision, worshiping in both traditional and contemporary ways, there is place for everyone to become a meaningful part of the Good Shepherd Lutheran family.
