What are your services like?
We strive to create an environment for worship where people are encouraged to experience the presence of God. Thus, we offer two worship styles on Sunday mornings to help all find meaningful worship:  traditional and contemporary.  In addition, we offer a wide variety of other worship opportunities throughout the year.  Yet, each worship reflects our reverence and love to an awesome God. Our messages are Bible inspired, creative, and offer practical insights to relevant issues that concern everyone. We want your worship experience at Good Shepherd to be one of the best hours of your week!
What should I wear?
We dress casually. We believe that what a person looks like on the outside is not nearly as important as what’s on the inside. At Good Shepherd you will see blue jeans, khakis, dresses, suits and skirts. Dress however you feel comfortable.
What about Adult education opportunities?

There are many opportunities for spiritual growth.  There are classes each Sunday at 10:15 am, every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am in Bridge City, and every fourth Monday of the month at 10:00 am in Beaumont.  In addition, other opportunities are offered throughout the year.

What about my children?
The children’s experience at Good Shepherd is designed uniquely for ages birth through sixth grade. Your child will experience engaging age-appropriate teaching, music and activities all developed to show your child the love of God and encourage a daily loving relationship with Christ. We offer Sunday School classes weekly, a Confirmation program, and children enjoy the annual vacation Bible school offered each summer.
What about my teen?
The youth ministry of Good Shepherd, offers multiple opportunities for students seventh thru twelfth grade to get involved and is dedicated to connecting the heart of your student to the heart of God. Friday night is the main weekly experience for youth and includes worship, lessons that empower us to love God and our neighbor, and hands-on interaction with the other members of the God’s family. Students are encouraged to participate where they will build relationships with their peers, develop accountability and grow together in their love and relationship with Christ.
What about fellowship?

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. –John 13:35  There are multiple opportunities to strengthen friendships in our family of faith.  We share food and fellowship on:

Sundays-10 am between worship services;
Tuesdays and Thursdays -10 am, lunch at 11:30 am;
Monthly Dining Out event;

In addition, the Compassionate Friends group offers grief sharing and renewal. The group meets – Mondays at 6 pm and Wednesdays at 10 am.  Anyone who could benefit from participating in a grief sharing experience will be welcomed.

What about service?

Good Shepherd is very active in many and different projects of service.  You can serve at Some Other Place in Beaumont (second Friday of the month at 10:30 am), at Orange Christian Services and Rainbow Room in Orange, at Bridge City – Orangefield Ministerial Alliance in Bridge City, at the church making sack lunches on the Fourth Sunday of the month to be handed out in Orange, other projects throughout the year.

What about Prayer?
As Christians we believe in the power of communicating with God.  At worship, we lift up those in need of God’s help within the Good Shepherd community, the larger community, and in the world.  Feel free to contact us with your prayer concerns.  Your identity and any specifics you provide will be confidential and treated respectfully.
